Perry Township Schools Calendar 2026-2027

Perry Township gives two transition grades campuses of their own. Preschool services begin in early-childhood settings, and four kindergarten academies concentrate the kindergarten year before students enter neighborhood elementary schools for grades one through five. After fifth grade, students move to Perry Meridian or Southport Sixth Grade Academy for one year, then change buildings again for grades seven and eight.

The two sides remain consistent across those moves. The Perry Meridian Sixth Grade Academy leads to Perry Meridian Middle School and then Perry Meridian High School. The Southport Sixth Grade Academy leads to Southport Middle School and Southport High School. A student may use several buildings while staying inside the same broader feeder community.

This arrangement makes the timing of transitions especially important. Kindergarten, sixth grade, seventh grade, and ninth grade can each begin on a new campus. Families planning transportation or sibling schedules need the grade-specific school name, since a general elementary–middle–high description leaves out two of the district’s most important one-year or short-span campuses.
