Metropolitan School District of Wayne Township
The mainstream secondary route in Metropolitan School District of Wayne Township contains two districtwide convergence points. Elementary students enter Chapel Hill or Lynhurst 7th & 8th Grade Center. Both groups then attend Ben Davis Ninth Grade Center for grade nine, followed by Ben Davis High School for grades ten through twelve. The freshman center is a separate campus year, giving every mainstream student a shared introduction to high school before the move to the main building.
Ben Davis University High School provides another full-school route for grades ten through twelve. Its early-college design allows students to complete extensive college coursework alongside high-school requirements. Achieve Virtual is a full-time public virtual school serving grades seven through twelve, so enrollment there replaces the daily physical-campus schedule.
Area 31 Career Center operates through a shared-course model. Students from Wayne Township and partner districts attend technical and early-college career programs while retaining a relationship with their home high school. The center’s programs can occupy a substantial part of the day and lead to credentials or college credit; the home school remains central to activities and diploma planning.
