Metropolitan School District of Steuben County
Steuben County’s district combines neighborhood elementary schools with a public Montessori route. Carlin Park, Hendry Park, and Ryan Park serve the conventional elementary communities, Pleasant Lake Montessori continues through sixth grade, and the Early Learning Center serves younger children. Angola Middle and Angola High anchor the common secondary system.
Montessori students can stay in one instructional model beyond the point when neighborhood-school students leave elementary school. Enrollment is limited and uses an intra-district choice process. The lower-grade program selected by a family determines when the student enters Angola’s secondary campuses.
Angola High provides Early College, career and technical education, Angola University, and digital learning options. ACE Academy adds a small alternative high-school environment for students who need to recover progress or complete credits through a more individualized plan. These programs operate beside the comprehensive high school and serve distinct scheduling and support needs.
