Marion Community Schools
Marion Community Schools uses four clearly separated grade bands. Allen, Frances Slocum, Kendall, and Riverview serve kindergarten through fourth grade. Justice Intermediate receives grades five and six, McCulloch Junior High carries grades seven and eight, and Marion High serves grades nine through twelve. Little Giants Preschool operates before the K–4 assignment.
The middle grades are also the focus of a multi-year transformation effort supported by a $4 million grant. Justice and McCulloch are being treated as a connected grades 5–8 system, allowing the district to align instruction, student support, and transition planning across two buildings.
Grant Regional Career Center broadens the high-school schedule. Most programs are based on the Marion High campus, while aviation uses Marion Regional Airport and construction classes can move to active building sites. Students apply through the career center and can combine technical credentials and dual credit with the broader Marion High graduation plan.
