Wa-Nee Community Schools Calendar 2026-2027

Wa-Nee Community Schools links the Nappanee and Wakarusa areas through one NorthWood sequence. Nappanee, Woodview, and Wakarusa elementary schools cover kindergarten through fifth grade, followed by NorthWood Middle in grades six through eight and NorthWood High in grades nine through twelve. The three elementary communities remain separate until sixth grade, when NorthWood Middle becomes their first common daily campus.

NorthWood Achievement Academy provides a smaller nontraditional setting for students who need greater flexibility or have struggled in a conventional schedule. Individual plans, Edgenuity coursework, licensed teachers, and classes capped at fifteen support self-paced progress, and work-based learning may become part of the week. Depending on the schedule, academy students can take high-school electives, use Elkhart Area Career Center programs, hold a job, or participate in athletics, band, choir, FFA, and yearbook.
