South Dearborn Community School Corporation
South Dearborn Community School Corporation now operates Aurora Elementary, Dillsboro Elementary, South Dearborn Middle School, and South Dearborn High School. Aurora and Dillsboro carry the local elementary years through fifth grade. Students from both communities form one districtwide cohort in sixth grade, remain together through eighth grade, and enter the shared grade 9–12 campus in ninth grade.
The corporation presents both elementary schools as STEM-certified campuses. At South Dearborn Middle, the newly combined sixth-grade cohort can move into Project Lead the Way, world languages, band and choir, academic clubs, and age-specific athletics. The 2026–27 route creates two ordinary building changes, at sixth grade and ninth grade.
South Dearborn High concentrates college and career work on one campus. Current academic materials list fifteen no-cost Ivy Tech courses, additional college-credit offerings through Thomas More University and Indiana University, and career and technical programs. The corporation reported 3,572 dual credits earned in 2026, showing the scale of college-level study after the two elementary communities have converged.
