Norwell Community Schools Calendar 2026-2027

Norwell Community Schools serves northern Wells County through Lancaster and Ossian elementary schools, both covering preschool through fifth grade. Sixth grade brings the two communities to Norwell Middle beside the high-school campus, and Norwell High receives the district in ninth grade. This four-school structure limits major moves while joining several small communities under one Norwell secondary identity.

Norwell High expands the final stage through Advanced Placement and dual-enrollment courses. Students meet university admission requirements for individual college-credit classes and combine them with the comprehensive program. Residence determines Lancaster or Ossian in the opening years; the later distinctions arise through academic acceleration, postsecondary credit, electives, and activities on the shared campus. Norwell High also holds AP and dual-credit planning meetings before registration, bringing students and parents into the eligibility and course-selection process.
