Monroe County Community School Corporation
MCCSC keeps many neighborhood students in elementary school through sixth grade. Batchelor, Jackson Creek, and Tri-North serve grades seven and eight, after which the attendance map divides between Bloomington High School North and Bloomington High School South. The mainstream sequence follows a PK/K–6→7–8→9–12 pattern with a relatively late middle-school transition.
The district also operates two smaller high-school settings with distinct academic purposes. The Academy of Science and Entrepreneurship is a project-based STEM high school. Bloomington Graduation School serves grades nine through twelve through flexible scheduling, traditional coursework, and online options designed around students who need another route to completion.
Hoosier Hills Career Center adds nineteen career pathways to students’ graduation plans. Participants can combine technical coursework, certifications, and applied learning with their broader high-school program. The career center functions as a shared instructional resource across the district’s high-school network.
MCCSC Online extends virtual enrollment from kindergarten through grade twelve. Online seniors receive an MCCSC diploma through The Academy of Science and Entrepreneurship. That arrangement lets a student learn remotely while remaining tied to a specific district high school for graduation.
