Hamilton Southeastern Schools Calendar 2028-2029

Hamilton Southeastern Schools divides the route to graduation into four distinct campus stages. Elementary schools serve kindergarten through grade four, intermediate schools carry grades five and six, junior highs serve grades seven and eight, and Fishers High School or Hamilton Southeastern High School receives grades nine through twelve. A student changes buildings after fourth grade and again after sixth, so the intermediate layer is a major part of the district’s feeder design.

The boundaries used for 2026–27 are newly implemented. Current address tools and the district’s redistricting materials matter more than an older feeder chart, especially in neighborhoods reassigned to a different intermediate or junior-high campus. Residence establishes the regular sequence through eighth grade.

High-school placement introduces a controlled choice. Eighth graders may apply through the freshman-choice process for Fishers or Hamilton Southeastern High, subject to the published deadline, eligibility rules, and available space. That application is separate from earlier boundary assignments. Families pass through a residence-based four-stage system first, then receive a defined opportunity to reconsider the final high-school campus.
