Greenwood Community School Corporation
Greenwood Community School Corporation moves from four neighborhood elementary schools—Isom, Northeast, Southwest, and Westwood—to one Greenwood Community Middle School and one Greenwood Community High School. Elementary residence determines the first campus. Once students enter the middle grades, the ordinary physical route is shared across the corporation.
Greenwood also enrolls a substantial number of students who live beyond district boundaries. The current registration page reports more than 750 out-of-district students. Transfer applications are reviewed annually, and a grade level closes when enrollment reaches the corporation’s capacity threshold. Specialized life-skills classrooms may have no transfer openings even when other seats remain.
Residents and transfer applicants enter through separate processes. Resident students begin with the neighborhood elementary assignment. Nonresident students join the same four-to-one-to-one system after the annual capacity review, then attend Greenwood Middle School and Greenwood Community High School alongside resident classmates.
