East Allen County Schools
East Allen County Schools is organized around several community-based secondary systems. Heritage, Leo, and Woodlan each operate a junior/senior high school serving grades seven through twelve within one named institution. Students in those communities enter a combined secondary organization in seventh grade and can remain there through graduation.
New Haven uses a separate two-campus sequence. New Haven Junior High serves grades seven and eight, followed by New Haven High School for grades nine through twelve. Two students governed by the same corporation can experience different numbers of secondary campus changes solely because they live in different EACS communities.
East Allen University adds an application-based early-college option. The school describes itself as a school of choice and maintains an EAU application for prospective students. Through its partnership with Vincennes University, students can earn up to sixty transferable college credits and may complete an associate degree while still in high school.
