Delaware Community School Corporation
Delaware Community School Corporation begins with the Delta Early Learning and Thinking Academy, the district preschool located inside Delta High School. Royerton, Albany, and Eaton elementary schools serve the neighborhood communities through fifth grade. The three groups meet at Delta Middle in grade six and continue to Delta High in grade nine.
The preschool’s location creates an unusual connection between the youngest and oldest students. Early-learning classes use a dedicated program inside the high-school building, while the high school provides the staff, facilities, and career context surrounding the site. Royerton, Albany, and Eaton continue on separate attendance routes until the district meets at Delta Middle.
University of Delta High School gives qualifying students an extensive early-college route through Ball State University and Ivy Tech. Its catalog offers a choice of more than one hundred college credits before graduation. Many participating graduates enter college with sophomore standing or beyond.
