School Town of Highland
School Town of Highland uses four elementary schools before students enter one Highland Middle School and one Highland High School. Address determines the opening elementary community; the ordinary route becomes districtwide at the middle-school transition.
Highland extends the elementary day through a dependent-care program for children in kindergarten through fifth grade. Morning care begins before the school day, and afternoon care continues into the early evening. Participating children remain enrolled at their assigned elementary school while the program changes daily transportation and pickup routines.
Head Start supplies an additional early-childhood entry, and the corporation maintains a formal High Ability program. These services affect access before or inside the shared route; the home elementary remains the only address-based campus decision.
